Ten (10) years ago, I envisioned a company that would bring reasonably-priced pharmaceutical products all over Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.  I knew that the way to go was to establish a distribution company that would make available generic pharmaceutical products sourced from local manufacturers to drugstores nationwide. 

Today, I take great pride in the fact that we have successfully transformed the envisioned company into reality. 

RILEM PHARMA CORP. now distributes  about four hundred (400) generic pharmaceutical products all over the Philippines, on top of clinching exclusive distributorships from respected local manufacturers in the industry. 

The company’s wide array of pharmaceutical products along with its exemplary relations with the product manufacturers enables the company to deliver large volume purchase orders with great ease, and at very competitive prices, to its clients.

RILEM PHARMA CORP. is a family corporation.  The company name was in derived from the combined names of members of our family: RIchard, LEn, and Migui Ma-quiona.  Committed to keeping the Maqui-ona name clean and untainted, you can be assured that the company’s products and services are, and will be, delivered in strict compliance with your requirements and always, to your ultimate satisfaction.

RILEM PHARMA CORP. is a fast-growing distributor of generic pharmaceutical products and injectables.  With almost four hundred (400) products in its portfolio sourced from around forty (40) local drug manufacturers, the Company currently serves the pharmaceutical requirements of over five hundred (500) drugstores and about one hundred (100) distributor companies nationwide.  The Company is likewise carving a niche as an exclusive manufacturer and distributor of its own line of pharmaceuticals.  As of March 2010, there are already twenty-one (21) Rilem Pharma Corp. products, including antibiotics, anti-inflammatory, cough and cold preparations, anti-ulcerants, anti-hypertensions, beta-blockers, anti-diarrheals, anti-allergy, anti-hemorrhatic, vitamins and food supplements, and pregnancy tests.

RILEM PHARMA CORP. traces its beginnings to a sole proprietorship company established by Richard Maqui-ona in 1999, with only five employees all of whom were close relatives.  Named Rilem Enterprises, the company distributed pharmaceutical products to Metro-Manila based drugstores.  In the year 2000, the company name was changed to Rilem Pharma to reflect the nature of the products distributed by the company. 

When the company gained distributor-clients from all-over Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao in 2001 jumpstarting its nationwide operations, Rilem Pharma Corp. was formally incorporated with the Securities and Exchange Commission, and was granted its Certificate of Incorporation on September 6, 2001. 

In 2008, the Rilem Pharma Corp. Building was constructed at No. 572 EDSA, Malibay, Pasay City, and had since served as the company’s principal office.
